More books published this week than in 1950

Who says this? David Houle, author/futurist, that yesterday, to the presentation of the Digital Book World conference in New York pointed on where the publishing industry is going today, compared to the place that has had until now.
In this regard, he noted that there have been more books published this week than throughout the year 1950.
The audience was full of publishers and Houle encouraged them to consider seriously the digital publishing as the way for future generations.
After Houle spoke Russ Grandinetti, VP of Kindle Content of Amazon who said that in the Amazon the e-book sales exceeded that of paper books, which also remains at high levels.
Grandinetti has also used his presentation to encourage publishers to allow the sharing of their e-books.
He claimed that the books shared among readers have higher sales.
We at Officine Editoriali agree with the thesis of the two speakers and our work will be to pursue these attitudes and behaviors.
